Why did Herodotus lie in some of his texts...?

My dear friend u miss the point...Maybe he was lying maybe he wasnt...its a long time for anyone to say for sure ..But what Greeks thought us is that even when the odds are against u and u are outnumber what matters at he end is how strong is your soul and how your values will help u or destroy u at a critical moment...sometimes we stuck at details and we cant see the big picture...
